LOCAL FUNDRAISERS & FUNDRAISING
There are many great organizations working to serve Calhoun County residents and make the county a great place to live and raise a family. Your financial contributions help to support these efforts.
For information about eligible tax-deductible contributions, please read these guidelines and talk to a tax professional. 501(c)3 non-profits seeking to maximize their fundraising efforts may consider registering for Midlands Gives and asking for donations as part of Midlands Gives Day on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Call the Library and make a Book-a-Librarian appointment to get assistance with registering for Midlands Gives.
Donations to religious organizations such as churches (see directory listings) are also tax deductible.
Contributions to government agencies are tax deductible under section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code if made for a public purpose.
