Why did you decide to join this organization? I am a former teacher and grew up in 4 H myself. I enjoy working with young people and watching them mature into adults who see the beauty in the world.
What accomplishments are you most proud of as a member of this organization? I enjoy watching young people learn and show what they know. They participate in various fairs where they show animals they’ve raised and it’s so nice to see the smiles on their faces as they show them and when they win a ribbon. I give programs in the schools and churches in the area and that gives me a lot of satisfaction also.
What sets you apart from other organizations that people might support? We are a research based organization that works with various ages of children. The Clover buds are ages 5-8, the Juniors. are 9-13 and the Seniors are 14-18. It’s important to note that being connected to Clemson, I can ask for advice when needed. We provide summer camps for children also. One is Camp Long in Aiken, SC and another is Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton, SC.
