If you are a vendor and you are interested in having a table please send us a message. We’d love to have you come out and share your creations with the community! Each space will be 10×10 and will be $20. This will help offset the cost of licensing the movie we will be showing.

Emergency Management Agency App

The Emergency Management App is live!

Today starts the 2023 hurricane season. For the safety of our residents and those who work in the county, the Emergency Management Agency has developed a mobile app. The app has contact information for some of the county departments, a damage report where you can send information, and photos of any storm damage to my office. I will be able to push timely notifications when needed. The power outage section links directly to the pages of Tri-County Electric, Dominion Energy, and Aiken Electric.

The most important feature is the weather section found at the bottom of the home page. There you can view the weather stations we set up late last year. You will be taken to a separate page for each station and can view current and historical data. During a hurricane, our first responders can check the current conditions to ensure their safety when responding.

Please download the app, which is on both the App Store and Google Play, and share the app with everyone who lives or works in the county. Search for Calhoun Co EMA.

I am interested in your feedback as this will be a work in progress.

All my best for the safety of Calhoun County,
Dave Chojnacki

Boards and Commissions

Calhoun County is actively seeking individuals from the community who are interested in participating in a variety of boards and commissions.
Joining a board or commission is a way that citizens can volunteer and get involved with their local government. Boards and commissions serve mostly in an advisory capacity to various County departments but some also hear appeals, provide expertise, advocate, and advise County Council. Calhoun County seeks diversity and balance in making appointment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
If you are interested, please visit the Boards & Commissions page of our website where you can submit an application.
